About Ka’ren

When Ka’ren is asked the question, “why do you practice and teach yoga?” Her response is, “because practicing yoga has literally saved my life and I want to share this gift with the world”.

Ka’ren has survived a broken neck and stage 4 lung cancer. She has found yoga a life saving healing practice. Through her yoga practice, she has not only gained full mobility in her neck and body but has conquered cancer! Karen believes that, “Healing and awareness of, mind, body and spirit is the work of a life time but with practice, persistence, hard work and surrender it becomes evident in how good I feel from day to day.”

Through yoga, Ka’ren has become more flexible, and emotionally grounded, gained self-confidence, and improved her overall wellness routine.  Yoga has strengthened her immune system and expanded her spiritual practice of meditation and mindfulness. These are the benefits she hopes all of her students experience.

From beginners to advanced levels, Ka’ren teaches from a supportive, kind place of tranquility and spirituality. She encourages growth and challenges her students’ practice by supporting all levels of learning.
